Stoma
Stoma An opening in the abdomen that is created by an operation (ostomy). Must be covered at all times by a bag that collects stool. RELATED TERMS-------------------------------------- Abdomen The area between the chest and the hips. Contains the stomach, small intestine, large intestine, liver, gallbladder, pancreas, and spleen. Stool The solid wastes that pass through the rectum as bowel movements. Stools are undigested foods, bacteria, mucus, and dead cells. Also called feces.
