Social distancing Absence of sociable approach or response to other people that is phobic rather than depressive, catatonic, or autistic aloneness.

Symptoms may include dysphoria, an inability to tolerate boredom, feeling victimized, and a diminished capacity for intimacy.

In the preoptic area or region of the hypothalamus, a group of cells so named because it is smaller in females than males.
