Pyrolite Pyrolite is a prescription or over-the-counter drug which is (or once was) approved in the United States and possibly in other countries. Active ingredient(s): technetium tc-99m pyro-trimeta phosphates kit. Pyrophosphate Calcium pyrophosphate causes pseudogout and is responsible for chondrocalcinosis visible on X-ray. Pyrophosphate arthropathy Joint disease resulting from pyrophosphate deposition in joints. It has inflammatory and degenerative components. Pyrogenic Peer review An examination and evaluation of the performance of a professional or technician by a board or committee made up of people in the same occupation. Peritoneal Having to do with the peritoneum (the tissue that lines the abdominal wall and covers most of the organs in the abdomen). Plueral effusion Accumulation of fluid between the lining of the lung and the chest cavity. Pleural mesothelioma Cancer of the pleura (membrane lining the lungs and chest cavity). Pleural Mesothelioma is different from lung cancer, which refers to any type of malignant tumor that originates in the lungs, while Pleural Mesothelioma effects the pleura.
