Pregnancy Discrimination Act A federal law barring discrimination against women for conditions related to pregnancy or childbirth. Postpartum depression More severe than the more common and milder baby blues, postpartumdepression is characterized by sadness, impatience, restlessness, and inability to care for the baby.
