The allergen is introduced in increasing doses to the organ to see if the person reacts and, if so, at what level of exposure. Precursor cells Or progenitor cells - In fetal or adult tissues, these are partially differentiated cells that divide and give rise to differentiated cells. Progenitor cells Or precursor cells. Preimplantation embryo The very early, free-floating embryo, from the time the egg is fertilized (zygote) until the beginning of implantation (in humans, a period of about 6 days).
