Perforation
PerforationA hole or break through a membrane or the wall of an organ. The movement of molecules across a membrane is strictly regulated in both directions. Organ A structural unit of an animal or plant that serves a specific function. SIMILAR TERMS-------------------------------------- Perfusionist During heart surgery, blood is detoured outside the body through a machine in order to bypass the heart, allowing surgery to proceed.ÿ The perfusionist is the person who monitors and controls the flow of blood through this machine.
