Fecal fat test

Fecal fat test A test to measure the body's ability to break down and absorb fat. The patient eats a fat-free diet for 2 to 3 days before the test and collects stool samples for examination.

Friedreich's Ataxia
Friedreich's Ataxia is a slowly progressive disorder of the nervous system and muscles characterized by the inability to coordinate voluntary muscle movements (ataxia). This condition is caused by degeneration of nerve tissue in the spinal cord and of nerves that extend to peripheral areas such as the arms and legs. It affects upper and lower limbs, and the head and neck. There is also some loss of the sensations of touch and pressure in the arms and legs.
