Ectropion

EctropionAn outward turning of the eyelid.

Eyelid
The lid or cover of the eye, a movable fold of skin and muscle that can be closed over the eyeball or opened at will. Each eye has an upper and a lower lid. An eyelid is also called a palpebra.

Ectrodactyly
The congenital absence of all or part of one or more fingers or toes. The term ectrodactyly has been applied to a variety of malformations of the fingers or toes. It is probably best reserved for: transverse terminal aphalangia (absence of the last bone in the finger or toe), adactylia (total absence of a finger or toes), or acheiria (total absence of one or both hands).
Ectromelia virus
A member of the poxvirus family which is a highly virulent natural pathogen of mice that causes mousepox, a severe disease with high mortality rate in mice but does not infect humans. The complete genome sequence of ectromelia virus is known.

Endometrial ablation
Removal of the lining of the womb. Removing the uterine lining decreases menstrual flow or stops it completely. Ablation means removal or excision, usually surgically. The word comes from the Latin ablatum meaning to carry away.

Buildup of fluid in a part of the body, particularly a joint.

A type of therapy used to treat severe, unresponsive depression by passing electrical current through the brain.

A chronic disease characterized by the enlargement of certain parts of the body and by the hardening and ulceration of the surrounding skin. It is often caused by an infestation of a worm called a filarial worm.
