Diaphragmatic hernia

Diaphragmatic hernia A hole in the diaphragm that allows abdominal contents to push into thechest cavity. In severe instances, a baby's stomach and part of the large intestines will displace the heart and lungs, requiring emergency surgery.

Changes in skin color; 2.Chest pain, radiating from the breast bone or high in the abdomen to the jaw, neck, shoulder blade(s) or arms. Impending feelings of "doom"; 3.Mental status changes or loss of consciousness. Abrupt onset of a severe headache accompanied by nausea and/or vomiting, or feelings of drowsiness; 4.Fever over 105 any age. Fever over 100,4 in children less than 3 months of age; 5.Bleeding continues after 10 minutes of direct pressure.

A procedure to help patients with spinal cord injuries to breathe. Their breathing is helped by setting the respiratory rate by electrical stimulation (pacing) of the phrenic nerve. The pacing is accomplished via electrodes surgically implanted into the diaphragm, which is innervated by the phrenic nerve.
Diaphyseal aclasis
A syndrome in which there are multiple enchondromata.
Diapid
Diapid is a prescription or over-the-counter drug which is (or once was) approved in the United States and possibly in other countries. Active ingredient(s): lypressin.
Diaplopia
