Air abrasion Removal of tooth structure by blasting a tooth with air and abrasive, a relatively new technology that may avoid the need for anesthetic RELATED TERMS-------------------------------------- Anesthetic An agent that causes loss of sensation with or without the loss of consciousness. SIMILAR TERMS-------------------------------------- Air bag A bag that fills with air, designed for frontal impact crashes, the kind of crashes which account for more than half of all passenger vehicle occupant deaths. Air bags are designed to limit head and chest injuries. But they only supplement safety belts, they do not replace them.
